Meta Commits $600 Billion to U.S. AI Infrastructure Push
Meta has unveiled a $600 billion investment plan targeting U.S. infrastructure and job creation over the next three years. The MOVE accelerates the company's AI ambitions, with a focus on developing data centers to support advanced AI systems—including the pursuit of superintelligence.
The company is breaking ground on a $1.5 billion Texas data center, its 29th globally, and secured $27 billion in financing for a Louisiana facility. CEO Mark Zuckerberg previously discussed the investment framework with former President Donald TRUMP during a White House meeting.
Meta anticipates significantly higher capital expenditures in 2025 as it prioritizes compute infrastructure. "Aggressive front-loading is the right strategy," Zuckerberg stated during the latest earnings call.
